Eat vegetables to maintain good health.


Why is it important to eat Vegetables.
Vegetables have great in nutritional value. They reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and prevent you from putting on more weight. Vegetables are rich in all vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, therefore eating food rich in antioxidants will reduce the damage caused by the free radicals. Free radicals can contribute to heart disease and ageing process. So it is important to eat at least 5 servings of vegetables every day.

Abdominal bloating is when the abdomen feels full and tight. Bloating can have a number of causes but the most common is the accumulation of intestinal gas. It can happen as a result of overeating, or may be result of food intolerance,for example lactose intolerance. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) may be a cause, or constipation. To prevent bloating avoid overeating.

Are you eating fruits and vegetables?

It is always a good idea to eat different variety of fruits and vegetables. If you stick to one particular vegetable or fruit you may not get all the essential nutrients from it. The key to good health is variety .So try to eat fruits and vegetables of different colours. Red colour foods like tomatoes, chillies and strawberries are good source of antioxidants, which help to get rid of free radicals in heart and keeps your heart healthy .
On the other hand green leafy vegetables and fruits are rich in iron and calcium, therefore it is good to include spinach, kiwi fruit and broccoli in your diet.
