As such there is no cure for a cold but it can be managed with some simple self care.
First of all it is important to know that your own immune system is your best defence against cold viruses. You can also treat the symptoms to help make you feel better, but you will still have the cold.
Some self care tips:
- Take plenty of rest
- Drink 6-8 glasses of fluid each day( preferably water ) as this will help to keep the mucous loose and more liquid
- Breathe in steam
- Stop smoking
- Wash your hands in warm water
